Metro & Us has been created to:
The conference will look beyond transport alone, considering how infrastructure influences housing, employment, high streets and wider social wellbeing.
Alongside the conference programme, a curated exhibition will feature organisations working across transport, infrastructure and regeneration.
More information about becoming an exhibitor is available here
Throughout the day, delegates will have dedicated opportunities to connect and network. We will also be hosting an informal drinks reception following the conference, in order to foster meaningful conversations and new partnerships.
Metro & Us is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone attending our event at The DEPOT. The venue offers step-free access and accessible facilities, and our team will be on hand throughout the day to support any additional needs.
We aim to ensure all guests feel comfortable and represented. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please let us know in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements. Clear signage, quiet spaces, and trained staff will be available to help make your experience as smooth as possible.
We’re committed to reducing the environmental impact of Metro & Us and encourage all attendees to choose sustainable travel options wherever possible. The DEPOT is ideally situated close to Cardiff’s main public transport links, making it easy to reach by train, bus, or on foot.
Cardiff Central station is just a short 5–10 minute walk away. Exit the station and head along Dumballs Road, passing the Cardiff and Vale College building. Then turn right into Curran Industrial Estate, where you’ll see clear DEPOT signage ahead.
By choosing greener ways to travel, you’re helping us create a more responsible, forward-thinking event.
Metro & Us is designed for anyone interested in how the South Wales Metro can support communities, businesses and the wider regional economy. This includes policymakers, developers, transport professionals, local authorities, investors, academics and community leaders.
A detailed programme and confirmed speakers are available here.
Registration opens at 08:30, with the event starting promptly at 09:00.
Please aim to arrive at 08:30 to allow enough time to collect your name badge, grab refreshments, and take your seat before we begin.
